Sometimes, learning can be chore, and kids get bored and lose interest. Not with Learning Resources,as now it will be fun! Spatial thinking can be a difficult skill to teach to children and one that isn't all that exciting at first blush.  Learning Resources has hit the nail on the head again with yet another amazing sea-themed learning set.  This time, they are taking on non-standard units of measurement and teaching kids to think about how big something is by comparing it to a rainbow of fun fish in varying sizes.  Krista over at Savory Savings had a chance to review this measuring set with her two daughters - check out the fun they had with pattern making and measuring everything (including their own fish tank!)
If you would like to win your own Learning Resources Fish-In-Line measurement set, enter with the Giveaway Tools below!   This giveaway is open to US residents, ages 18 and older.  It will run from April 6, 2014 through April 20, 2014 at 11 PM CST.  If you have won a Learning Resources giveaway on any blog in the last six months, you are not eligible to win.  All entries will be verified.  Winner will be emailed (consider adding gloriouslygreengal@gmail.com to your safe list) and will have 48 hours to respond or prize is forfeited and a new winner will be selected.

Scentsy Review & Giveaway! 12/20*CLOSED*

I love my house to smell good.I have candles and tea lights in almost every room. But it seems that no matter what I buy the scent just doesn't seem to last.I have spent so much money trying different ones and I swear that I should have bought stock in tea lights the way I buy them!! That is why I was super excited when I was asked to review some Scentsy Products. What is Scentsy~You ask?! Well~let me tell you~ Scentsy sells wickless candles, ceramic warmers and home-fragrance products.  A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. And they have over 80 scents to choose from! So~I know that you will find one that matches you too!  Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to tradition...

Midwest Dairy Council~Dairy Makes Sense Giveaway!*CLOSED*

As you may have heard, June was National Dairy Month. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months.  Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways. In the Midwest, dairy farms and families often open their gates to visitors at breakfasts and tours , while grocery stores and other business feature dairy products during the month. Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy. According to the U.S government’s dietary guidelines, we should be eating three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt every day. Dairy products provide four of the seven nutrients Americans are missing the most, in...
