Win $500 from Honey Bunches of Oats!

I am not a morning person,I am one of those that gets to the coffee pot and stands there and waits for it to start. But when the grandchildren are here~it is a different. There is lots of talking and laughter and that is my favorite part of the day with them. They like to tell me all the stories from school while they are eating in the morning. And~ there is no better way to start your day then with a bowl of cereal for breakfast.

Honey Bunches of Oats, recently launched a new brand anthem "Smile While You Shake It," to celebrate what it means to start the day off with a smile. The fun and upbeat song, inspired by Samba beats, incorporates the cereal box and breakfast utensils as percussion instruments. It is catchy and fun for families to make it their own.

Midwest Dairy Council~Dairy Makes Sense Giveaway!*CLOSED*

As you may have heard, June was National Dairy Month. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months.  Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways. In the Midwest, dairy farms and families often open their gates to visitors at breakfasts and tours , while grocery stores and other business feature dairy products during the month. Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy. According to the U.S government’s dietary guidelines, we should be eating three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt every day. Dairy products provide four of the seven nutrients Americans are missing the most, in...
