The Bear Naked Truth Review

~The Bare Naked Truth~
By Bekah Hamrick Martin

Purity. Sex. Boys. Waiting. There’s something about those words that makes everything complex in a heartbeat, and raises more questions than answers. Is there something wrong with me if I don’t kiss a boy after a date? Or am I doomed if I DID? What if waiting is just a one-way trip to life as a crazy cat woman? And what if I tend to, um, think about a certain boy in a certain way? It seems that the lady at church and your friends have two very different opinions on the subject. And “Your Budding Womanhood: Staying a Beautiful Flower for Jesus” just isn’t cutting it.
Bekah Hamrick Martin knows the waiting game isn’t easy or straight-forward. In The Bare Naked Truth, she lays everything on the table---including some embarrassing moments---as she explores the honest, naked truth behind what God means by purity. With additional entries from popular authors, you’ll see the bare naked approach to waiting isn’t always easy, but it’s worth the risk.

My Review~
This  is such a great read for all teen girls,as the author writes for them. She is on their level, and even makes it fun. She writes about things that most people are even embarrassed to think about. But throw in a little humor, and it don't make it as rough to discuss. I like that there is a little quiz after each chapter to see how you did. This will be a great book for me to share with my granddaughter's for years to come.As some are old enough to read it now and I plan to start sharing this week.

About The Author~
Bekah Hamrick Martin was born in Savannah, Georgia. It was during her high school years when she developed a taste for chocolate and sarcasm. Today, Martin shares her experiences of growing up with teens from various walks of life. Her most talked about issues include healing and surviving the adolescent years. She lives in North Carolina with her husband and their Tiny Human, Zoey.

Scentsy Review & Giveaway! 12/20*CLOSED*

I love my house to smell good.I have candles and tea lights in almost every room. But it seems that no matter what I buy the scent just doesn't seem to last.I have spent so much money trying different ones and I swear that I should have bought stock in tea lights the way I buy them!! That is why I was super excited when I was asked to review some Scentsy Products. What is Scentsy~You ask?! Well~let me tell you~ Scentsy sells wickless candles, ceramic warmers and home-fragrance products.  A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. And they have over 80 scents to choose from! So~I know that you will find one that matches you too!  Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to tradition...

Midwest Dairy Council~Dairy Makes Sense Giveaway!*CLOSED*

As you may have heard, June was National Dairy Month. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months.  Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways. In the Midwest, dairy farms and families often open their gates to visitors at breakfasts and tours , while grocery stores and other business feature dairy products during the month. Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy. According to the U.S government’s dietary guidelines, we should be eating three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt every day. Dairy products provide four of the seven nutrients Americans are missing the most, in...
