What little girl doesn't want to be a ballerina? I don't think that I know a little girl that doesn't. All my little grandchildren love to dance and they sure did with this DVD too. It was so cute to watch the little ones dance along~as you could tell that they were all trying their best. Even if they weren't perfect,it was perfect to me! Join Prima Princessa on a fairy dust filled spring-time adventure to see excerpts of “The Sleeping Beauty” performed by London England’s world famous Royal Ballet live at Covent Garden. The cartoon fairy narrates the story then between acts you return to gorgeous floral gardens for mini-ballet lessons demonstrated by students from the New York City Ballet’s School of American Ballet. After the ballet is over the adventure continues with a magical tea party followed by fun floral crafts where you learn how to make sparkling flowers, butterflies, and pompom caterpillars.

Currently there are 3 DVDs in the Prima Princessa series:“ Swan Lake” featuring the Paris Opera Ballet,“The Nutcracker” featuring The Birmingham Royal Ballet of England and “Sleeping Beauty” featuring London’s Royal Ballet.

The producers of the “Prima Princessa” DVD series, Stephanie Troeller and Mary Kate Mellow, are both mothers of dance loving daughters, who were the original source of inspiration for the series. The creative duo is motivated by a deep desire to bring the beauty and wonder of ballet into the lives of young children who otherwise might not have that opportunity.
