Growing Pains Second Season DVD Review!

Congratulations…you’re fired. Mike (Kirk Cameron) receives a car from his pleased parents after he’s named Employee of the Month. (So how’s he going to tell them he’s been canned?) Mike’s not the only one with secrets. Brainy Carol (Tracey Gold) wants everyone to think she has a romantic extracurricular life with a hunky football hero. And what’s up with 10-year-old Ben (Jeremy Miller) and those 67 calls to a sex line? (No, it’s not what you might think.) These events don’t all happen at the same time, but they do all happen at the same place: the Season 2 home-sweet-ho-ho-home of the Seavers – dad Jason (Alan Thicke), mom Maggie (Joanna Kerns), three on-the-grow kids. Jason works as a psychiatrist. You think maybe it’s time to add some family appointments to his calendar?

"Show me that smile again!" The Seavers are back on DVD (after a five year hiatus from the release of the first season DVD) with Growing Pains - The Complete Second Season, a three disc set containing every episode from the second season of the classic 80s series. Alan Thicke and Joanna Kerns star as Jason and Maggie Seaver, parents going through "growing pains" and transitions as Jason moves his psychiatric practice to his home (to double up as a "househusband") while Maggie leaves home to work as a journalist. Mike (Kirk Cameron) is the oldest son who is always causing trouble, Carol (Tracey Gold) is the brainy middle child who has a tendency to cause trouble on her own, and little Ben (Jeremy Miller)... well... he's just Ben.

I remember watching this show as I was growing up~it was on every day and we would rush home from school. I mean who didn't love Kirk Cameron~he was a teen heartthrob to many! This is when family shows were about families.The series is funny, clever, and each week there was another topic about how raising a family~along with the "Growing Pains"  There’s laughter, tears, tension~and lots of love to be seen. You can own the DVD set as on April 26th it was just released from WB here.

{I was sent the Growing Pains Season 2 DVD to review~All opinions are my own.No monies were offered or exchanged}

I love my house to smell good.I have candles and tea lights in almost every room.But it seems that no matter what I buy the scent just doesn't seem to last.I have spent so much money trying different ones and I swear that I should have bought stock in tea lights the way I buy them!! That is why I was super excited when I was asked to review some Scentsy Products. What is Scentsy~You ask?! Well~let me tell you~ Scentsy sells wickless candles, ceramic warmers and home-fragrance products.  A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. And they have over 80 scents to choose from! So~I know that you will find one that matches you too!  Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to tradition...
