Chicken Soup for the Soul: Home Sweet Home

101 Stories about Hearth, Happiness, and Hard Work

Home is where the heart is. Whether your home is an apartment, a house, or a condo — rented or owned — the 101 stories in this book, all about the place you call home, will warm your heart. You will find joy, laughter, and inspiration in this collection of stories about cooking, family meals, decorating, remodeling, repairing... everything we do to make a home.

My Review~
I opened this book to a story, like I often do with the Chicken Soup books and I started reading about a foster girl that waited for her Mom to come back when she was just 8 years old. When she didn't return she was put into a foster home. All she ever really wanted was a home, after all she was 13 years old now,and that is all she ever wished for. You will have to read the book to find out how it ends~as I don't want to give that away. I loved this story and the others as there are new homeowners, renters and DIY's that I think that you will enjoy too. It was a fun, fast read that leaves you smiling after each story that you read.

Midwest Dairy Council~Dairy Makes Sense Giveaway!*CLOSED*

As you may have heard, June was National Dairy Month. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months.  Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways. In the Midwest, dairy farms and families often open their gates to visitors at breakfasts and tours , while grocery stores and other business feature dairy products during the month. Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy. According to the U.S government’s dietary guidelines, we should be eating three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt every day. Dairy products provide four of the seven nutrients Americans are missing the most, in...
