ReplyDeleteI love the way Christmas feels, it has always been full of joy and fun, surprises and happy memories. I love decorating and cooking and wrapping gifts :D
ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory of Christmas was when all of my cousins and aunts and uncles were over to our house on Christmas Eve. We had a big meal and us kids played, while the adults visited. We all sang Christmas carols and laughed and laughed. Us kids were excited for Santa to come but the adults had us all go into our room to go to sleep. After much giggling and whispering about what we wanted Santa to bring us, we finally fell asleep. We were awakened by bells ringing, we just knew it was Santa and ran out to the living room where the adults were waiting for us, yelling that we heard santas sleighbells. There were so many gifts under and around the tree and none were there before we fell asleep. As we got older we realized that once we were asleep the adults had brought in all the gifts and placed them under the tree and the bells we heard were bells they rang near our door and pretended it was Santa. That is one of my fondest memory of Christmas

ReplyDeleteMy favorite memory is the sounds of my parents clanking down the hall with the vanity they'd just put together for me while I was thinking Santa was in the house.
