Chicken Soup For The Soul Country Music Review and Giveaway 7/27

~Chicken Soup for the Soul Country Music~
The Inspirational Stories behind 101 of Your Favorite Country Songs

Songs tell a story, and now many of country music's most famous singers and songwriters are sharing more of the story! These artists reveal the inspiration, influence, and background, and when and why they wrote their most famous songs, in this fresh collection of stories. The book also includes great photos of the songwriters and lyrics of many of the songs. A great gift for anyone who loves country music!

I am a big fan of Country Music as to me that is how we all live our life. Because if you really listen to the words in the songs~you will see that they have come from experience.  It might be on pain~joy~life~love or loss but you will enjoy each story. This book has many classic country song stories~from Alan Jackson to Tammy Wynette. I really enjoyed reading about how some songs were wrote so quick where others took longer. Ken Kragen, the past president of the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music, wrote the foreword and says of the book, “You‟ll laugh, you‟ll cry, you‟ll be amazed and entertained.

Midwest Dairy Council~Dairy Makes Sense Giveaway!*CLOSED*

As you may have heard, June was National Dairy Month. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months.  Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways. In the Midwest, dairy farms and families often open their gates to visitors at breakfasts and tours , while grocery stores and other business feature dairy products during the month. Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy. According to the U.S government’s dietary guidelines, we should be eating three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt every day. Dairy products provide four of the seven nutrients Americans are missing the most, in...
