Spring is finally here~after the long cold winter that we had I was so happy to see the sun! And,with that warm weather comes a holiday that is one of my favorites.Easter. Don't you just love going to the store and seeing all the different kinds of candy that they have? Or all the cute Easter Plush's that are out now? I saw the cutest bunny today~he was pink and had the biggest ears that stuck right up! I was going to buy one~but I have 10 grandchildren and one bunny is not a option anymore..LOL So~I decided that I we didn't need it. We always get together and have a big dinner and I am already thinking about my shopping list. As we have a big ham, with all the trimmings.I am talking two different kinds of potatoes~green bean casserole~corn and of course deviled eggs. I do most of the cooking as my daughter likes to make the desserts. She always comes up a good too~she goes through all her cookbooks to find a new one! I can't wait to see what she comes up with this year. And of course there are the grandchildren that come over so even though they are older we get them a Easter Basket to share with the family. As it wouldn't be Easter if you didn't get a basket. As long as I can remember I have loved the black jelly beans and peeps and I still buy them.My grandchildren don't like them.so that is one thing that I don't have to hide. LOL We also like to have the Easter Egg Hunt and there usually is a $5.00 bill in one of them so it is fun to watch them run all over looking for the eggs. Of course the other eggs have prizes and candy but that money really makes them look all that much harder. We also enjoy coloring Easter Eggs as I even dye them by myself if the grandchildren are all busy. You should see the look on their faces when I tell them that the Easter Bunny brought them! As I make sure that they each have one with their name on.As I still believe in the Easter Bunny~Don't you?!?
My Mom loved this time of the year and in memory and honor we will carry on the traditions. As we lost her around this time last year and I know that she is looking down on us and smiling...
About Hop:
Blending state of the art animation with live action, Hop is a comedy about E.B. (voiced by Russell Brand), the teenage son of the Easter Bunny. On the eve of taking over the family business, E.B. leaves for Hollywood in pursuit of his dream of becoming a drummer. Once there, he encounters Fred (James Marsden of the X-Men series, Enchanted), recently fired and determined to pull his life together. Feigning injury, E.B. persuades Fred to take him in, and Fred finds himself living with the world’s worst houseguest. Back on Easter Island, the Easter Bunny’s second in command, an oversized chick named Carlos, seizes E.B.’s disappearance as an opportunity to plot a coup. Ultimately, Fred and E.B. are Easter’s only hope and they find themselves returning to Easter Island, locked in an epic battle to save the beloved holiday. The film is helmed by Tim Hill, director of the blockbuster Alvin and the Chipmunks and produced by Chris Meledandri’s Illumination Entertainment (Despicable Me).
