My Favorite Road Trip

Do you have a memory from a family road trip that was so much fun that you just can't stop thinking about? And at times just sit and smile about it?!?

Well~I know I have a favorite memory and I would love to share it with you...

Many years ago when my children were younger{we had 3 under the age of 8}we decided to take a road trip from Milwaukee,Wisconsin to Tuscon,Arizona in July. As I had a very good friend that lived out there and she invited us to come stay with her for a few weeks. So we borrowed my parents 4 door Buick with NO air conditioner and got everything loaded up and away we went..Oh yeah~it was hot let me tell you.But one good thing with the windows down the kids couldn't fight~as they couldn't hear each other..LOL

We had so much fun on that trip.as we took our time and stayed at a different hotel every nite. The kids thought that was the greatest thing! As we also got to eat out all the time! We laughed and talked and of course there were many fights. But I am so glad that we all got the chance to be together as a family when we took that trip.

We saw many different things and that was the first time any of us had seen a armadillo in Texas! We saw it on the side of the road and I made my ex turn around so we could see it again and take a picture. That was also the first time that we saw a cactus and a black widow spider! That is a memory I could have lived without...

We all loved it there so much and wanted to move but it just never worked out that way.
A couple weeks ago my ex passed away and I found out that he wanted to be cremated and took back to Arizona. I think that is a wonderful idea as it is so beautiful and I know that he will be at peace there.
RIP DAVID

Scentsy Review & Giveaway! 12/20*CLOSED*

I love my house to smell good.I have candles and tea lights in almost every room. But it seems that no matter what I buy the scent just doesn't seem to last.I have spent so much money trying different ones and I swear that I should have bought stock in tea lights the way I buy them!! That is why I was super excited when I was asked to review some Scentsy Products. What is Scentsy~You ask?! Well~let me tell you~ Scentsy sells wickless candles, ceramic warmers and home-fragrance products.  A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. And they have over 80 scents to choose from! So~I know that you will find one that matches you too!  Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to tradition...

Midwest Dairy Council~Dairy Makes Sense Giveaway!*CLOSED*

As you may have heard, June was National Dairy Month. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months.  Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways. In the Midwest, dairy farms and families often open their gates to visitors at breakfasts and tours , while grocery stores and other business feature dairy products during the month. Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy. According to the U.S government’s dietary guidelines, we should be eating three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt every day. Dairy products provide four of the seven nutrients Americans are missing the most, in...
