Having lived in the Midwest all of my life~I know that it can get plenty cold here so I have always layered my clothing as I am a Freeze Baby! And~when it gets -20 you will find me with many layers on let me tell you!
Here are my Top 10~
1} If I am going to wear a skirt I put tights or some fancy knee socks on with either small or tall boots.I try to match my top color and add jewelry to match.
2} I wear turtlenecks under my sweaters and sweatshirts.As it adds a extra warmth and also you can buy the turtlenecks in many colors to mix up your look. I have many designs for the holidays as I buy them when they are on sale after each holiday!
3}I have many hooded sweatshirts that I wear with my tank tops and t~shirts around the house.As many days I don't have to leave the house so I just wear "comfy" clothes.
4} Throw a vest over a long top or dress~you can make your own look with maybe a belt or a brooch on the front. You can also do this with a long sweater.
5} Leg warmers are back in and they look great over your tight jeans and boots.You can get so many different looks as they can be worn pulled all the way up or partially down!
6} A shrug is a great layering piece. It goes with anything from cute camisoles and tanks to casual t-shirts.You can dress it up or down with just changing your accessories!
7} Scarves are also big! I like to wear them all the time~as they are so many different styles and colors that I can wear the same outfit with a different scarf and it changes the whole look! I can know pull all my big woolly ones out.
8} I wear warm boots with 2 pair of socks.As I wear a thin pair and then put a wool pair of that to make sure that my feet stay warm and dry.As if your feet are cold~you are cold all over.
9} I also like to wear my t~shirts over a long sleeved top as I can add a whole new look just by adding my favorite t~shirt and I love that I can still wear them i the winter!
10} I wear thermal's under my clothes if I am going to be outside for long period of time.You can find some great styles at Cuddle Duds as they carry some cute looks to help you layer in style!
