Have you heard of City Slips yet?
CitySlips are foldable ballet flats that come with their own protective carrying case.
I know that we all love pointy pumps and strappy stilettos but after awhile even though we know we look good~they feet start to ache!
Well~ Susie Levitt and Katie Shea were oh-so-familiar with the pain and that is how that company was founded. One too many encounters with shoeless socialites and barefooted babes led to their AH HA moment... CitySlips was born. These entrepreneurial sole-sisters came up with a concept and design that allowed women to carry back-up ballet flats comfortably, compactly, and conveniently. Juggling classroom term papers and corporate term sheets throughout their senior year of college, Susie and Katie enlisted the opinions of friends, the help of NYU professors, and the time of many NYC professionals and mentors. Nine months later (their baby, literally!), they now have a product that is funk-tional, fashionable and affordable! They’re confident that all of you well-heeded women on-the-go will enjoy these fabulous sole savers.
They are so easy to take with you too as CitySlips are foldable ballet flats~they come in a small pouch that zips up to securely and snugly store your CitySlips while not in use. Made the decision to switch from those “killer” heels to your “funk-tional” flats? Great! Here's where the magic happens… hidden inside the pouch is extra fabric that expands into a full-size tote bag. Place those “killer” heels inside, and make your way home in comfort, not calluses!
I love them~as they not only look good but are very~very comfy! They fit right in my purse and as soon as I put them on everyone wanted to know where I got them. And when I showed them how CitySlips worked they were amazed that something stored so small could be so Cute :-)
And~I have some great news! Katie at CitySlips has offered one of my readers a pair of their own!!

ReplyDeleteMy last embarrassing slip was at a friends wedding reception. I had borrowed some heels from my mom & a little small I thought they would be okay but then they rubbed the skin from my heels, then came band-aids,then no available chair so I had to stand for 3hrs plus all the dance partners who kept coming. Every time I tried to walk bare feet everyone stared so back to the torture pumps - OUCH!!!! My feet took a month to heal up....

Last time I had an embarrassing slip was a couple of years ago at a nightclub. I was dancing with a drink in my hand and suddenly slipped and went flying across the dance floor, falling flat on my face. I ripped my pants and spilled my drink everywhere! It was mortifying!

ReplyDeleteI learned that CitySlips can be worn outdoors, all day.
ReplyDeleteellaetc@gmail.com
I had an embarrassing slip with shoes, actually! lol A few months ago my boyfriend and I went to visit my sister 4 hours away, and that day we were going to the mall. I thought it would be a good idea to wear the amazing new $300 vintage boots I had absolutely adored that he bought me for Valentine's Day. Well, I wore them and within an hour my feet were killing me, and the temp. went up to about 80 degrees so my feet were reaaaallly hot in my brand new boots. I had a dilemma, and HAD to take them off once we got in the car. We left and headed to Target, and I wanted to go in, but alas - no shoes, no service. So my sister went in with my bf and I waited outside he came running out 5 minutes later with a pair of emergency flip flops. LOL
ReplyDeleteSo yes, I could absolutely use these CitySlips, because of that story alone.
