I was recently given the opportunity to review this Beautiful Book~
"The Flowering Cross"
The Easter story is about Katie,a 6 year old who is friends with her neighbor Jack,who most of the neighborhood kids think that he is mean.But Katie and her parents show Jack kindness and love.And her and her brother even get to call him Papa Jack!
Every Easter Sunday she stops by his house to get flowers for the Flowering Cross at church.She invites him every year and he declines.
This year he surprises her and says Yes! and on the walk to church Katie tells Papa Jack the real meaning of the Flowering Cross.
A modern-day story of how Christ’s resurrection is still changing lives.
I really like that it helps the young children understand the true meaning of Easter.
The illustrations are beautiful and go perfect with the story.
The book also contains “Faith Imprints” paired with Bible verses to help teach children about the Word of God.
You can also make your own cross~as the back also includes instructions for making your own flowering cross.
I think that it would make a great book for the Easter Basket!
{I received this as a complimentary copy of this book from Thomas Nelson and Book Sneeze. I was not paid for my review.My opinions are my own.}
That sounds like a really sweet book! Great review of it, too.
