Update On My Mom..

I know that it has been awhile since I have posted here so thought that I should sit and update tonite before I forget again...My Mom has started a new round of Chemo and it is making her so weak and sick! She has been laying down and sleeping on and off all day{She had chemo last week and yesterday}and even had to vomit one time. My son went and got her some Chicken Noodle Soup so she did eat a few tablespoons of that and I also made her a cup of tea with honey hoping that it would settle her stomach some..She said it did help a bit but she will not eat anything else.I talked to her doctor yesterday and told him how sick she has been and he said that they will not give her this type of Chemo after hearing about how she has been feeling..So~it looks like we are going to have to try yet another treatment. She is getting real tired of all of this and tells me that she just wants to go home to be with my Dad..I keep telling her that it is not her time yet and when God wants her~my Dad and him will be here to get her~just not yet.

If you have a extra prayer can you please send it up for her? As it is so hard to see her like this~just breaks my heart....

  1. Thank you for visiting my blog, and leaving a nice comment of what you are thankful for!
I am so sorry to hear of your mom's treatment not going so well for her. Will say a prayer for her that they can use something that will help her physically and emotionally. And you are so right, everything is in God's timing. God Bless!

  2. Your post makes me so sad for you and your mom. My dad just had to have his prostate removed because of cancer. I had lots of people praying for him and I would love to pass one of those prayers your way now. I hope that the two of you will have many more memories together. You and your mom will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Scentsy Review & Giveaway! 12/20*CLOSED*

I love my house to smell good.I have candles and tea lights in almost every room. But it seems that no matter what I buy the scent just doesn't seem to last.I have spent so much money trying different ones and I swear that I should have bought stock in tea lights the way I buy them!! That is why I was super excited when I was asked to review some Scentsy Products. What is Scentsy~You ask?! Well~let me tell you~ Scentsy sells wickless candles, ceramic warmers and home-fragrance products.  A wickless candle, called a Scentsy Bar or a Scentsy Brick, is a highly fragrant wax bar that is warmed to release fragrance into the air. And they have over 80 scents to choose from! So~I know that you will find one that matches you too!  Because the wax is gently warmed rather than burned, it can hold more fragrance oil than a traditional candle. And, because there is no flame, there is no smoke, soot or lead. Scentsy wickless candles are a safer alternative to tradition...

Midwest Dairy Council~Dairy Makes Sense Giveaway!*CLOSED*

As you may have heard, June was National Dairy Month. June Dairy Month started in 1937, as a promotion to help distribute extra milk when cows started on pasture in the warm summer months.  Today, its rich history continues, with communities, companies and people from all over the country observing June Dairy Month in a variety of ways. In the Midwest, dairy farms and families often open their gates to visitors at breakfasts and tours , while grocery stores and other business feature dairy products during the month. Milk and other dairy products are great sources of vitamins and minerals. For years, we’ve heard milk “does a body good,” but research shows that many people don’t fully understand the whole story of the nutritional value found in dairy. According to the U.S government’s dietary guidelines, we should be eating three servings of milk, cheese or yogurt every day. Dairy products provide four of the seven nutrients Americans are missing the most, in...
